Local Family Chosen for HGTV Show

Canton Family Chosen for House Hunters

Update: This House Hunters episode featuring the Crider family from Canton, will air Friday, October 13th at 10pm.

Most of you have probably seen the HGTV series “House Hunters” and enjoyed walking through the process of buying a home with each family. Canton father Dustin Crider prides himself on recording and watching every episode — so when he found his own family was in need of some house hunting, he contacted the show.

Dustin and Lisa Crider, who just recently became a family of 6, found themselves looking for a larger home to accommodate their growing family. The two have adopted three children: Barrett and Elijah, both 7, and McKenna is 3 years old. Barrett has a diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and Elijah is autistic. The couple was surprised last year when Lisa became pregnant with Adelaide, who was born in March. With a total now of two boys and two girls, the Crider’s needed some space.

They enlisted the help of realtor Amy Spence of the Justin Landis Group on their hunt for the perfect home. Video submissions, photo shoots and applications were submitted, and they were selected to be on a future episode of the show!

They will start shooting the show in May. Airing date is TBD, but we will keep you posted on when it will air.
