Go With The Flow

Downtown Roswell is known for its great restaurants and social scene. But Scoop OTP recently learned that the town is also home to Go With The Flow retail store, which holds the largest selection of canoes and kayaks in Georgia.

Go With The Flow began in a quaint refurbished potato barn off of Green street in Roswell, Georgia in 1983. Brothers David and Barrett Schubert bought the business in ’91 and relocated to the heart of downtown Roswell, where the store still stands and is now considered one of the finest paddleboat specialty shops in the country.

Go With The Flow

Walking around the store, there are hundreds of pictures of owners with their new water sport purchase — a wonderful personal touch that has continued to grow over the years.

KayaksYou’ll also see hundreds of canoes, kayaks, touring kayaks and sit-on-top kayaks. Last summer my dad hauled his kayaks up from Florida and we took them over to Lake Lanier. Had I known about Go With The Flow, it might have been easier for me to just rent them! Especially with their “Try it before you buy it” rental program.

I recently attempted paddle-boarding and am happy to know this store rents and sells those boards too. (All I can say is: keep your core tight!) There are even some people who do yoga on these boards in the water, which I got to witness on my latest vacation. I am such a novice, but luckily Go With The Flow has informed employees to help you with your purchase.

StickersMany customers show their loyalty with the Go With the Flow stickers and car magnets. If your car is spotted sporting one of these around town, the shop will reward you with store products for Fan Friday on Facebook. Along with their logo, their two black labs Bram and Avery are well known around town as well.

Go With The Flow also boasts, in addition to their kayak and canoe collection, an amazingYeti Coolers selection of footwear representing all the big brands like Vibram Five Fingers, Chaco, Reef, Rainbow, Teva, Olukai, and Sanuk. If you aren’t in the market for those specific brands, I was surprised to learn that they also have a huge selection of apparel and great sales on brands like Kavu, Patagonia, North Face, and Costa to name just a few.

If you have ever used a Yeti cooler, you know it’s a great investment. Go With The Flow carries a large selection of these. They were originally designed for hunters and fishermen to keep their catches fresh. We love taking our Yeti out on our boat — but it holds beer, not fish!

Go With The Flow is definitely the go-to store for all of your water sport needs. Go check em out, tell them Scoop sent you, and we’ll see you on the lake!
