What’s Opening Around Town?

Outdoor and workwear apparel retailer, Duluth Trading Company, is bringing its first Georgia location to Kennesaw later this year.  The approximately 20,000 square foot store will open beside Aldi in Barrett Place shopping center, on Cobb Place Boulevard just off Barrett Parkway. Tomorrow’s News Today has the details.

Loyal Q and Brew in Marietta transformed into a second metro-Atlanta location of Loyal Tavern offering a welcoming sports bar atmosphere and a menu boasting elevated tavern-style food, an impressive craft beer program and an extensive bourbon and whiskey selection.

Seasons 52 will open a new restaurant at the Mall of Georgia in July.  Their seasonal menus feature ingredients at their peak of freshness, oak-fire grilled or brick oven roasted (without a fryer in sight) to be naturally lighter and more flavorful.

The eighth location of Vietnamese eatery, Pho 24, is bound for Smyrna.  The new restaurant will open at The Shops at Belmont, a redevelopment at the corner of Windy Hill and Atlanta Roads.

City Barbeque, the Dublin, Ohio-based barbeque restaurant that currently operates two locations in metro Atlanta, has a third coming soon to Sandy Springs.  The new restaurant will open in Abernathy Square at the corner of Roswell and Abernathy Roads.

All of their meats are smoked on-site at each restaurant, hand rubbed with spices, and take upwards of 18 hours to become pure barbeque perfection.

Opening in Alpharetta City Center in May, Botiwalla an Indian Street Grill, is the newest concept from Irani’s growing restaurant and spice empire, Chai Pani Restaurant Group and chef and restaurateur, Meherwan Irani.  The first Botiwalla opened three years ago in Atlanta’s Ponce City Market where it quickly became known for crave worthy grilled chicken, lamb, paneer, and steak wrapped in hot naan with fresh herbs, smoky Lamb Burgers, finger lickin’ chaat like SPDP (Sev Potato Dahi Puri) and Masala Smashed Potatoes, and the cult-followed Desi Salad.

It’s exciting to report new restaurant’s opening, but unfortunately we have a closing too.

The Fuddrucker’s restaurant in Kennesaw is closing later this summer.  The restaurant, at 2708 Town Center Drive, is situated just off Ernest Barrett Parkway.
