Even if owning a boat isn’t on your radar, there is still a lot to see and do at the Atlanta Boat Show. Some of the highlights besides drooling over the large selection of boats that are showcased include:
Surf’s up— the ocean is calling! Get ready for summer at the beach and hop on our mechanical surf board for the ride of your life. You can test your wakesurfing skills and try to hang ten right on the show floor. Our crew controls your ride by adjusting the angle of the surfboard on three planes, adjusting difficulty levels to suit your skill level. You don’t have to worry about wipeouts either—you’ll simply fall into an ocean of inflatable fun. Open to anyone 40-inches or taller.
The Let’s Go Fishing Center returns with hourly seminars led by professional anglers. Local fishing clubs and organizations are available to speak with attendees, and kids can try fishing in the Catch and Release Trout Pond.
For the younger children, don’t miss the girl that’s determined, positive, helpful, caring and ALWAYS
ready for adventure, Dora the Explorer! Dora will appear at the show on Saturday and Sunday. There is also you can meet the stars of The Nuts & Bolts of Fishing TV series, Capt. Cefus McRae and his four-legged co-host Buck, The Wonder Dog on Saturday, January 17th from noon to 2pm.
The show also has sailing centers, boating advice and repair information, summer camp representatives and more. So get out of the cold January weather and start dreaming about summer time fun! Tickets are $12 for adults and free for children under 15 so go ahead and have some forced family fun!
