Pie lovers and those with a sweet tooth will be happy to hear that an award winning pie company has opened in Alpharetta: The Southern Baked Pie Company, started by UGA graduate Amanda Wilbanks.
Wilbanks started her business, originally known as the Buttermilk Pie Company, with family recipes, an all butter pie dough and southern charm.
The other two locations are in Gainesville and Buckhead. The Alpharetta shop is in the new Atwater shopping center, across from Avalon. Flavors include buttermilk and her award winning caramel pecan. Savory pot pies are on the menu too — great for nights you don’t have time to cook but want a home cooked meal.
