Showdown Social began with a shared belief that card games deserve a bigger stage. Daniel Weinman, a Georgia Tech alumnus and World Series of Poker champion, had spent years immersed in poker and saw the possibility in the card games people grow up playing with grandparents, parents, and kids.

Maanit Madan, also a Georgia Tech alumnus and a lifelong local, had been developing interactive table technology that can track play and make the experience more immersive through screens, lights, cameras, photos, and video. When their paths came together, the opportunity was clear: make timeless card games feel social, welcoming, and made for everyone.

Match poker and technology and you have a new kind of social card-game experience for families and friends, and create original games over time, and bring that experience to households across the country.

COME VISIT THEM AT 7955 North Point Pkwy in Alpharetta. There are 6 event zones that can handle up to 300 people. They have shareable food plates and serve liquor. 

Card games already live in family memories, but they rarely have a modern, shared setting built around them. Showdown brings the familiar ritual of sitting around a table into an interactive environment where people can play, be photographed, see the action on screens, and make a memory together. There are games like Uno, Mafia, and Spades too so the kids can play as well. 

They are excited for this recurring, play-first format built around shared participation rather than passive entertainment.
