If you have the next big idea, then why not try your luck with the popular Shark Tank TV show? Didn’t we all think of the remote control before it was invented? There are a few Atlanta locations to make your pitch. Thursday, July 21 at the Fox Theater is open to the public; and Friday, July 22, you can attend the event by invitation in midtown at Tech Square Labs and Clayton State University.
Values Partnerships is working with Shark Tank and their partners to support entrepreneurship and bring more diverse ideas and voices to the show. On a first come, first serve basis, companies may be selected to pitch their businesses to the casting team from ABC’s Shark Tank.
If you attend the open call, you will be given the opportunity to do a 1-minute pitch of your business/product/idea to a member of the Casting Team — just like you would as if you were on the show. Come prepared to wow and dazzle them! Be advised: security may check your bag and you are responsible for your own parking, they do not validate. To apply at an open call you must have a completed application packet. Download the Application HERE and bring it with you. Please take the time to complete it fully and legibly.
All open calls are open to the general public. As long as you arrive during the allotted “Numbered Wristbands Distributed” time and receive a wristband you will have the chance to pitch. If you have any questions please email them at SHARKTANKCASTING@UAMG.COM. Please do NOT call the venue.
OPEN CALL NOTES:
– You will have time to go back to your vehicle after you receive your wristband to get any large or bulky props or equipment.
– There are no guarantees of access to power, internet or any other A/V equipment.
– You may only pitch one business, product or idea.
Please note: Shark Tank occasionally features entrepreneurs who have a “good idea,” but the vast majority of entrepreneurs that appear on the show display market demand through user acquisition, sales, and/or intellectual property protection. They look forward to seeing you pitch your business.
This event is sponsored by Shark Tank, Clayton County Office of Economic Development, and Values Partnerships. Also, TechSquare Labs is an incubator and seed fund. TechSquare Labs operates a 25k sf co-working and corporation innovation space in Technology Square – Georgia’s ground zero for innovation.
