Hidden Figures is a true story that centers around an unsung group of African American female math wizards who helped NASA win the space race. While it’s just rumors at the moment, Oprah Winfrey, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Empire’s Taraji P. Henson are expected to lead the cast in the upcoming feature film.

The project is based on “Hidden Figures: The Story of the African-American Women Who Helped Win the Space Race,” published by Harper Collins and written by Margot Lee Shetterly. FOX has hired Ted Melfi to direct the movie and the script is written by Allison Schroeder. The picture is planned for a January 2017 release in theaters. IMDB does not list the rest of the cast as of yet.
Ages 18 and Up only.
