Rina Eatery Second Location Comes to Avalon

Rina, the Israeli-style eatery from Oliva Restaurant Group, is set to open a new location at Avalon in Alpharetta. The restaurant will serve their fan-favorite mezze, hummus varieties, pitas, platters and more in a vibrant second location coming mid-2023. Guests will be able to relish Mediterranean flavor for lunch and dinner from 11am-10pm on Sunday-Wednesday and 11am-11pm on Thursday-Saturday. The new space is located 3180 Avalon Boulevard, directly off of The Plaza between Makers Market & Antico Pizza. Their original location is in the Old Fourth Ward at 699 Ponce De Leon Avenue.

The new location aims to bring all the colorful charm of the original restaurant, but it will evolve to fit the new space, featuring cheerful design elements. Similar to its original counterpart, the interior designed by owner Tal Baum and Smith Hanes Studio will embody the effervescence of an Israeli coastal town. Inspired by the beaches of Tel Aviv with a vibrant palette and ocean-themed decor, the 3,268-square-foot space will immerse guests into a breezy beachside oasis. The restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor seating with classic blue and white striped awnings plus rolling glass doors adorning the facade bringing fresh air into the space when the weather is nice. Known for its vivacity, the new Rina location will be embellished with details like Mondarian-style glass block windows, large planters and ceiling flags.

“We are thrilled to be expanding Rina with a second location and joining the exciting mix of businesses at Avalon,” says Founder and CEO Tal Baum. “From the array of seasonal events to the lively environment, this location fits perfectly with the colorful energy of our restaurant.”

Rina, named after Tal’s grandmother, serves modern takes on Israeli style street food. The menu blends local ingredients with foreign tradition as the concept is inspired by Tal’s childhood and her traditional family recipes. With an array of platters, sides and pitas, diners can expect dishes like the Chicken Shawarma Pita with baba ganoush, Israeli salad, sumac & caramelized onions, the Falafel Salad with romaine, Israeli salad, feta, crispy chickpeas & goddess tahini dressing and the Beef Kebab with garlic pita, tomato brown butter & sumac onion. Additionally, their beverage program boasts a unique lineup of speciality cocktails that feel perfect for sipping next to the ocean. Favorites include the frozen Hof Alma with passionfruit, gin, rum, orange & arak and the Hof Tel Baruch with vodka, mint, italicus, fino & lemon. Visitors can opt to dine in or stop by a to-go window for the full food menu and cocktail menu.

Founded in 2015 with the opening of Bellina Alimentari at Ponce City Market, Oliva Restaurant Group is a collection of restaurants in Atlanta exploring Founder Tal Baum’s cross-cultural upbringing. The group also encompasses some of Atlanta’s most beloved restaurants, including Aziza and Falafel Nation in the city’s West Midtown neighborhood, Atrium serving a Modern American menu with European influence at Ponce City Market and forthcoming Carmel will give diners a taste of coastal life at Buckhead Village

About Rina

Rina is a casual, Israeli, diner-style eatery alongside the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail from Oliva Restaurant Group and Founder Tal Baum. Inspired by the beach restaurants of Haifa, Israel – where Baum was born and raised – the food, drinks and ambiance are quintessentially effervescent. The fun, colorful restaurant space welcomes guests to enjoy modern takes on Israeli street food made with local ingredients and inspired by Baum’s traditional family recipes. Diners can expect mezze, hummus varieties, pita sandwiches, platters like Amba Chicken, a Spiced Lamb Burger and Jaffa Fried Fish, and more for lunch and dinner. To pair, the beverage team mixes up shakes – like the Tahini Shake with honey, dates & gelato, plus the option to add booze – and fresh, coastal-inspired cocktails. Designed by Smith Hanes Studio, the bright dining room features soaring ceilings, patterned floor tile in shades of blue and green, string lights and pennant garland hanging from the ceiling and an open kitchen. Up a flight of stairs is a patio right on the Atlanta’ BeltLine’s Eastside Trail and a takeout window for on-the-go diners. Other Oliva Restaurant Group restaurants include Atlanta’s beloved Aziza, Bellina Alimentari, Falafel Nation, Atrium and forthcoming Carmel.
