Update: In April, Simply Done Donuts and Personify Shop opened at downtown Duluth’s Parson’s Alley.
Maddie Morden & Tammy Lopez, the mother daughter team behind Personify is a mix of modern + whimsical goods and clothing. Simply Done Donuts, a popular food truck, opened their brick and mortar store at Parson’s Alley. Our foodie, Joe Duffy, loves their mini cake donuts. We look forward to visiting soon and for the rest of the tenants to open in this 31,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space.
Also, Dreamland BBQ, which has a huge fan following, opened up on the outskirts of Parson’s Alley at 3540 W. Lawrenceville Street in Duluth.

The quaint downtown of Duluth is expanding with Parson’s Alley, a carefully planned expansion of the city’s current arts, entertainment, and culinary attractions.
The 2.9 acre site will be home to four new construction buildings and two adaptive reuse buildings for a total of over 31,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space geared toward pedestrian use.
This vibrant addition will include restaurants and retailers such as Good Word Brew Pub, a Korean steakhouse, Noona oyster bar and Simply Done donuts.
The owners of Decatur’s Brick Store Pub are opening Good Word Brewing and it will be 7,500 square feet — the largest occupant of Parson’s Alley. The Korean steakhouse is from the owners of Taiyo Ramen + Drinks (another ITP restaurant), and the donut shop is the first brick and mortar location for the operators of the Simply Done Donuts food truck.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016. Follow our Dirt and Facebook pages for the latest updates.
