Paint Party!

Do you remember who gave you what gifts for your wedding? Suzette, the creator of Wine & Designs Company received hand-painted water glasses and a pitcher for a wedding gift many years ago that she loved. Every time  she used them, she always thought of the person who gave her that special personalized gift. So, she created Wine & Designs, which specializes in paint your own wine glass kits and in-home parties. She recently expanded to children’s paint-your-own plate parties too.

The kit she created includes all supplies, so anyone can make their own unique gifts for friends & family. When she first thought up the idea, she decided to host a party with a few of her close friends to see if the concept would work and be fun. Everyone loved it! They took home their hand-painted glasses as a memory of the evening together. At that point, she decided to offer in-home paint parties in addition to the craft kits.

She hosts Wine & Designs parties anywhere in the state of Georgia, but she prefers to stay close to Atlanta and surrounding cities OTP since she is a Roswell resident. She hosts parties in homes, neighborhood clubhouses, college sororities, etc.

During the upcoming cold winter months, this is a perfect time to host a show. She is also happy to send a kit anywhere if someone would rather do it themselves. Kits include a wine glass, paints, paintbrushes and stencils. She can design stencils for specific party themes. Also, there is an option to change the wine glasses to water glasses, beer mugs, or votives.

Recently, she hosted a wine glass decorating party for 18 ladies who were running a half-marathon together. They spent quality time together painting glasses that reflected their sisterhood. They call themselves “Sole Sisters.” Since I am not a runner, maybe my group party should be called “It’s 5:00 somewhere!”

She has also branched out and hosted “paint your own plate” birthday parties for kids. Parents sit back and relax while Wine & Designs sets everything up and the kids have fun painting plates. This sounds like a great idea for a unique birthday party.

Customers can free-hand or use the stencils provided. If art isn’t your area of expertise, Suzette said polka dots are easy and always come out nice. Customers can also wipe off the paint anytime as long as it has not dried, and start over as many times as they want.
