I just love when I find a new retail store that has a little bit of everything. Located in the Historic Marietta Square, Market with a B is just that. After not having a chance to stop in on our past two visits to the square, we finally made a special trip specifically to see the store we had heard so much about.
Market with a B is owned by Cupcake Wars winner Patricia Katopes, who has since taken a break from selling cupcakes to focus on building her beautiful retail store. And while the Marietta Square has plenty of retail stores, Market with a B fits right in, while still being very unique to the other local shops.
With spring in the air and summer around the corner, we were excited to see so many gorgeous potted succulents on display. I try to be a DIY girl, but these were so perfect — we thought they were fake at first! — that I knew I would never be able to recreate it at home, especially for the price. I wish I had bought several more!
Aside from seasonal items like the plants, garden and graduation gifts, they offer a very nice selection of Ella B.Candles that are scented with local flavors, including the Big Chicken, the Marietta Square and Kennesaw Mountain. The store also carries plenty of handmade jewelry, home decor, purses, shoes, baby items, books, fragrance and many other giftables.
So, I am happy to report that I have another go-to store for gifts, as well as, of course, myself… Just what I needed! Stop in the next time you’re on the Marietta Square and tell them Scoop sent you.
Market with a B is located at 113 Church Street NE, in Marietta.
If you love shopping for locally made items, be sure to stop in The Local Exchange while your on the Square.
