Updated for 2018
It’s time to enjoy Lake Allatoona before summer’s over. This Florida girl misses her beaches, and these OTP lake access areas at least get your feet in the sand! There are several beaches and day use areas.
Entrance to the parks range from $4.00-$10 per vehicle, depending on location. They offer grills, horseshoe pits, picnic tables (you can also reserve a picnic shelter), restrooms, volleyball and of course a beach! Many of the locations have play-scape areas behind the beach, and Shoreline Sand Beach has a roped-off swimming area, too.
For a complete listing of beach access areas, visit Lake Allatoona Parks.
This year you can also find “the world’s largest inflatable water slide.” It is 36 feet high and 175 feet long. This fun OTP Acworth slide is open until July 29th 2018. It is closing a month early this year. For up to date news, visit their Facebook page. For one hour of unlimited sliding, it costs $16.00 or $8.00 for one hour and you must be 42 inches or taller. You can also buy a $30 season pass or a one slide pass for $4.00.

If you have good information to share about the Lake Allatoona beaches, please let us know. Our friends who have visited helped us compile this information — but we are always looking for good Scoop to add before summer ends!
Scoop Tip: No glass or pets allowed on the beach. Also, when you pay for your vehicle to enter, display your ticket in the windshield area.
