We are sorry to report that this restaurant has closed effective Nov 2015.
I had visited Jump Kitchen a couple of times with my friend and our kids on a weeknight before and enjoyed it, but I just finally made it back on a Saturday night with the hubby for a little date night and live music.
Jump is very well designed to look just like a saloon. But they also have a bunch of big screen TV’s, so you don’t have to worry about missing your favorite team. It’s a great combination of a sports bar and western themed restaurant.
As Jump states on their website, they really aren’t trying to be fancy; they just want to provide good, quality food. The menu has a great variety including burgers, salads, barbecue, tacos, catfish, steaks, and more items than I can list. But I like a lot of choices, and Jump definitely has a great selection. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, because I have heard several people talk about how great it is — and it was! I definitely recommend it.
Jump has live music every weekend. The bands and styles vary, but they keep everyone in the know through their Facebook page as to who is performing. And they have a great area for the bands to perform while everyone still has good seating for dining and taking in the music. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. Since we were without the kids, we got to sit on the “grown ups” side of the restaurant where the band was setting up.
What I like about a place like Jump is that it’s somewhere you can pop in for a quick but quality lunch, drop in at night after a game (being right down the road from both Woodstock and Etowah High Schools make that a priority!), or stop in for a night out. It really fits the bill for any of these occasions, which is great because it takes the guesswork out of going to dinner. If you haven’t tried them yet, stop in, and tell them Scoop sent you!
Jump Kitchen and Sports Saloon is located at 1085 Buckhead Crossing in Woodstock, GA.
