Humble Pie Pizza Company

Humble Pie Scoop OTPWho doesn’t enjoy a good pizza? Thick crust, thin crust, Chicago style — I love them all. So when we went to a networking meeting at Alpharetta’s Humble Pie Pizza Company, I was super excited to sample their pie. And network. But the pizza made it pretty tempting.

It’s a fun, family-friendly atmosphere the minute you walk in. Bright colors, big screen TV’s and local artwork adorn the walls. And, my new favorite, the giant chalkboard menu listing the many items you can choose from.

Humble Pie Scoop OTPGreat pizza takes a great chef. Chef Abe Colin of New York (obviously!) is what I will refer to as a pizza artist. Have you ever had pizza where the dough was so good you would be happy just eating the crust? That’s Humble Pie Pizza. All made in house. But you will love the toppings too.

We sampled a square cut pizza that had been quartered and rolled on the edges to create a crust along each piece. I’m still thinking about it! The menu has create-your-own options with all of the traditional toppings, and a good selection of specialty pies including cheeseburger, the Caesar, Mediterranean, buffalo, BBQ and a meatball ricotta that is on my list for next time.

If you don’t get as into pizza as I do, they have a large selection of salads, hoagies, paninis and wraps. In fact, you might want to order a salad so that you have room for one of the amazing desserts, like a Nutella calzone. That’s right, it exists, and it is amazing. So you need to make sure you absolutely save room for that treat, because you can’t find that everywhere, and I know I surely won’t make it at home.

Humble Pie has quickly become involved in the community. Owner Andrew Adams has partnered with Blessings in a Backpack, a nonprofit organization that provides food for school-age children on the weekends. The restaurant serves as a drop off spot for people to bring food that will be sent home with kids in a backpack 33 Fridays out of the year.

I did my usual “request” to Adams that he consider opening a location in Cherokee County somewhere, so that I might get to enjoy their delicious pizzas more frequently. So, fingers crossed! Until then, if you are in Alpharetta or Milton, Humble Pie Pizza Company is a must try. Take the whole family or the whole team. And tell them Scoop sent you.
