Marc Broussard | Lantern Series

August 28, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm EDT

Marc Broussard
Swamp Pop | Saturday, August 28th at 7:30pm
Marc Broussard is an American singer-songwriter. His style is best described as “Bayou Soul,” a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots. Broussard’s music has been featured on shows such as Clash of the Choirs in which “Home” was performed by a Blake Shelton-led choir. Singer Kelly Clarkson performed “Home” as part of her live setlist in 2006-07. Most recently, “Must Be the Water” was the theme song for the 2008 NBA All-Star Game. Broussard has been a featured performer on many TV programs including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, A&E Breakfast with the Arts, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, CBS Saturday Early Show, Larry King Live, Lopez Tonight, and CBS’s Saturday Morning’s Second Cup Cafe.

ABOUT THE LANTERN SERIES:
“Atlanta doesn’t need another concert series that replicates the previous. Atlanta needs a place for different genres, ideas, and cultures to come together and find common ground.”
– Christopher Brazelton, Executive Director
The Lantern Series is about conversations and community at its core. While world class performances will be taking place, the community as a whole will be able to come and converse. This series will strive to introduce new music, ideas, and cultures, that aren’t typical for the community. We hope that this venture will grow into building more, deeper, and authentic moments with you involved.
We encourage the conversation by:
– We try to sell tables rather than chairs (bring friends!)
– Keeping prices accessible as possible for all of the community
– We have different genres throughout the series
– We encourage participation (like decorating tables)

FAQs:
Decorating Table:
We encourage everyone to decorate tables as sometimes prizes will be given away for “best decoration”, “Most Creative”, etc.
Table decorations may begin no earlier than 6:30pm.
Decorations may not obstruct views of those behind your table. If you are requested to move an object, the judges will still count that piece toward your total table decorations.
Alcohol:
Due to GA Law: Bringing your own alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited, wine and local craft beer will be available for purchase at a non-inflated price rate for your convenience and in a commitment to accessibility for all of the community.
Rain:
This event will be “Rain or Shine” and there is no rain date set for this show. We rarely cancel a performance prior to showtime. If guests leave of their own volition and the show is not cancelled, no rain checks will be given. Tents will not be allowed as they will obstruct views for other guests.
Events & COVID-19:
The safety and health of the artists, staff, patrons, and volunteers is a top priority. Elm Street plans to continue events as listed on our website while observing social distancing guidelines set out by national, state, and local authorities and encourages all patrons to take the necessary steps to protect their health. You can find location-specific protocol here: https://elmstreetarts.org/before-you-go/
While we would love to see you at an upcoming event, please stay home if you do not feel well!
Please note that all sales are final.
