Breaking Bands — A Monthly Local & Regional Band Showcase — LIVE at MadLife Stage & Studios on Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00!
What is Breaking Bands?
Breaking Bands is a monthly local and regional band showcase. At each Breaking Bands showcase, MadLife will present 3-4 new and rising bands who are making their mark on the music community.
This event is an evening dedicated to local and regional musicians, aspiring and professionals alike, giving them the opportunity to take our stage and present their performance and songwriting talents to an audience comprised of people who truly appreciate great bands, original music and live performances.
Breaking Bands, is an event for musicians presenting all musical genres. There are no age limitations, but all those taking MadLife’s stage should be skilled musicians. We encourage featured bands to perform original music, although that is not an absolute requirement.
Come out to MadLife to experience inspiring regional bands rising to take their place in the music industry. Support live and local music!
This Month Featuring:
Zyx
Atlanta’s favorite heavy metal boy band! Zyx (pronounced “zicks”) brings you a rock n roll party you’ll never forget. Catchy melodies, complemented with heavy riffs, ignite the theatrical fervor that is a celebration of the party of life. Zyx is inspired by hard rock/heavy metal of the 70s and 80s with a tinge of their own varied influences. 
Babbler
Evocative themes of tasteful disillusionment resonate through every melody. If Babbler had one message that they’d want to spread, it would be: “Don’t go to work, come to our show”
The Shady Lurkers
Electric Architecture, Sacred Geometry in motion, Rock and Roll Archaeology, None of these phrases have been used to describe The Shady Lurkers who are a four piece Rawk n’ Roll band from Marietta GA, although they should’ve been.
The Shady Lurkers mine the past to build the future, not looking for the obvious shiny stuff, they dig deep to find the Unobtanium, the X factor that makes music stick to your ribs like brown sugar on a ham-bone. The sweet and sour, aural Umami…that “I cant quite put my finger on it..” feeling.
Self-Releasing their first full length record in 2018 on Posh Skiffle Records, their second record in 2020, and soon to be releasing their third in 2023, The Shady Lurkers have started to create a cosmology all their own, filled with murderous swamp monsters (Louisiana Creeper..) water hoarding Frog Kings (King Frog Stomp..) and Smiling deceivers (Double Dealer..) all while exploring and expounding on what it means to be Human and all the emotions and situations we Humans find ourselves in as we express ourselves in this life.
The Hoodlins
VENUE INFORMATION:
All ticket holders are able to order food and drinks during the event. Standing Room Ticket holders generally place their orders with the venue bar staff. Main Floor Reserved Table and VIP Balcony Table ticket holders are served by MadLife’s friendly wait staff throughout the event.
Refer to the seating map below for a layout of the venue for this show. Please note the table arrangement is subject to change and not all tables may be available.
If You Wish To Select A Specific Reserved Table:
Holders of VIP Balcony and Main Floor Reserved Table tickets have the ability to select any available reserved table from the moment their tickets are purchased, up until 30 minutes BEFORE doors open to the event (i.e. if doors are at 6:30, cutoff time for selecting a reserved table would be at 6:00). Tables can be selected EITHER at the Box Office or by contacting the Box Office during its hours of operation at (678) 384-2363 ext. 1. Please note that tables cannot be selected online for this show and if you do not select a table, MadLife will select one for you. Selecting a table is not required, but is an option available.
