Update: Culver’s Opened On 3-28. Welcome to Georgia!

Culver’s Fans! The fast-casual Butterburger and Custard joint will be opening its first Georgia location in Dawsonville in early March. The location is just north of the North Georgia Premium Outlets at 252 S 400 Center Lane.

For those unfamiliar with Culver’s, it is a Wisconsin-based, family-owned company with 540 locations primarily in the Midwest. Known for its custard and Butterburgers, more important to some are their famous fried Wisconsin cheese curds. French fries, onion rings, chicken tenders and gluten-free buns round out the menu.

I spoke to the owner, Tapasvi Jaiswal, and he said he found out about Culver’s from working with them on a software program and became hooked!  He is still currently hiring and plans on employing 60-80 members.  He owns this location with his business partner,  Manish Shah.

On a trip to Wisconsin, I tried the cheese curds and on a recent trip to Tennessee, Suzanne tried the custard, butter burgers, cheese curds and custard again! We look forward to this Georgia location opening and can’t wait for them to expand to other OTP locations.
