As a mom to a kid who plays both volleyball and basketball at Suwannee Sports Academy (SSA), formerly All Tournament Players Park (ATPP), I had heard some rumors of its closing. I spoke to SSA President Mike Eddy, and he said their management contract is up, but they will still be having sport’s clinics in the Suwannee location and hopes to return to Cobb County soon.
The building was up for bid for office space and Ninja Quest Fitness acquired the building to expand their current business model of functional fitness. This uses movement based exercise with your own body weight. After seeing the success of the basketball and volleyball clinics and rental court space, those programs will continue on two courts instead of four. This is good news for many children in the area as court space is hard to find!
Don’t expect a ninja course like Slingshot Entertainment, it’s more fitness based. Co-owner Glenn Davis is excited about the bigger space and growing his programs for children, adults, the military, first responders and more. If you want to be a ninja warrior, this might be a good place to start as they have 25+ warriors already. Follow Ninja Quest Fitness on Facebook for their updates. The baseball park is unaffected by this change.
