On the heels of the first City Barbeque opening in Decatur, a second one is slated for John’s Creek/Suwanee according to Tomorrow’s News Today.
Since 1999, this Ohio-based company has their meats smoked onsite at each restaurant, hand rubbed with spices, and takesupwards of 18 hours to become pure barbeque perfection. Sides are prepared throughout the day from scratch in the restaurant. It is a counter service quick-serve style restaurant.
The new restaurant will open in place of Applebee’s (which closed in May) at the John’s Creek Town Center, and will be about 5,200 square feet — about 1,500 square feet bigger than the Decatur location.
Recently, Swine & Shine, another new BBQ restaurant, announced plans to enter the John’s Creek market as the owner said there is a void in good BBQ options. It appears the residents will have some choices now.
