Wine Tasting with Peay Vineyards and Gracious Plenty @ Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room

We are thrilled to welcome Brand Ambassador Derek Reijmer from Peay Vineyards. You won’t want to miss this special tasting event of extremely small production, cool climate wines. We will taste through a selection of their wines including their Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and Estate Pinot Noir and Syrah.

Experience the magic of terroir while learning about their carefully selected vineyards, hands-off approach, and philosophies for making world class wine.
These are extremely limited production wines and not available everywhere so don’t miss out on the opportunity to taste them! We can’t wait to share these truly stellar wines with you!

Gracious Plenty is back serving up some tasty bites to go along with these wines. Tickets are $40 per person.

A little about Peay:
Husband and wife, Nick Peay & Vanessa Wong, grow and make the wine and brother Andy Peay sells the wine and runs the business.
With minor exceptions, all wines are made from grapes grown on their hilltop vineyard located in the far northwestern corner of the West Sonoma Coast, 4 miles from the Pacific Ocean at Sea Ranch. Careful selection and research went into finding the perfect spot for their estate wines.
They grow mostly Pinot Noir, but also Syrah, Chardonnay, Viognier and Roussanne/Marsanne. They produce small quantities of each wine, some under 100 cases.

Wine Dinner with Eleven Eleven Wines at Bistro VG @ Bistro VG

Some of you may know that I worked at Eleven Eleven Winery in Napa before moving back to Georgia. I just loved working there and oh, how I love their wines!

I am so very excited to announce that my friends Ellie Anest & Aurelien Roulin, owners of Eleven Eleven, will be coming to visit on March 20th. We are planning to celebrate this occasion in a very big way!

Please join us at Bistro VG on this evening for a 5 course dinner. Ellie & Aurelien will walk you through a tasting of five wines including their Rosé of Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Cabernet Sauvignon. Each of their wines are single vineyard, 100% varietal that show the true expression of terroir. They are elegant & nuanced, yet always balanced. I know you will love them as much as I do!

I am excited for Ellie & Aurelien to tell you about their chance meeting on a flight from Paris to LA and how that developed into a business partnership & solid friendship. And then, how they were introduced to Kirk Venge, Napa Valley’s superstar winemaker. All these chance meetings, in hindsight, were meant to be! And that’s what the name Eleven Eleven is all about…

Winemaker Dinner with Kerith Overstreet of Bruliam Wines @ Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room
May 8 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Winemaker Dinner with Kerith Overstreet of Bruliam Wines @ Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room

So exciting…one of my favorite winemakers, Kerith Overstreet, is coming to Deep Roots on Wednesday May 8th from 7-9.

I met her last year and just fell in love with her. Not only are her wines de-vine, but she is the sweetest person ever! She often sends me personal notes of encouragement, along with fun little gifts like a cheese board made from her old barrel staves and even home-make biscotti.

Kerith is a triple-threat: winemaker, former medical doctor, and mom to three kids. Her final baby, Bruliam Wines, honors her first three: “Bruno, Lily and Amelia.” Of course, the “Bruliam” name and logo riff on the Periodic Table of Elements, with a sly wink to her former medical career.

More info about Bruliam Wines:
Starting with a single barrel, Kerith has grown Bruliam Wines to about 1000 cases a year. It’s mostly single vineyard Pinot Noir with a smidgen of Rockpile Zinfandel. She added Chardonnay in 2017. Cherishing her grower relationships, Kerith has aligned herself with top vineyards and growers to supply her fruit. Today she cherry picks her fruit from the top vineyards in Sonoma County, Santa Lucia Highlands, and her own Torrey Hill vineyard in the Russian River Valley.

The cost to attend is $50 and will include five wines – Rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir (2) and Zinfandel. A five course dinner will be specifically paired for each wine. We are limiting the number of seats to ensure everyone gets one-on-one time with Kerith. Get your tickets soon!
