Roswell Arts Fund invites you explore, experience, and enjoy ArtAround Roswell – Roswell’s free museum without walls! The 2019-20 season introduces 9 temporary works of art joining our ten permanent sculptures through Roswell’s parks and historic downtown. ArtAround Roswell sculptures offer a meaningful experience for adults and children of all ages.

Take a self-guided tour using the ArtAround map, which can be downloaded at www.roswellartsfund.org. Discover more when you download Otocast from Itunes or Google Play and from the voice of the artist, gain insight about the art and the artist. Sinatra Forever is a timeless concert that pays homage to perhaps the greatest singer of all time. Rick Michel’s dazzling musical interpretation is performed with all of Sinatra’s original arrangements and a fantastic seven-piece band. Variety called Rick Michel “the closest sound to Frank Sinatra we’ve ever heard.”

Award-winning photographer Kate T. Parker will discuss her exhibit StrongHearted, as well as her best-selling books Strong is the New Pretty and Heart of a Boy. Kate believes that “everyone should be granted the space to be proud of who they are. This is not necessarily a message specific to girls or boys, rather a human one.” All of Kate’s books will be for sale in the lobby, and she will sign autographs immediately following the talk.

FREE Artist’s Reception & Book Signing
Sunday, January 26, 2020, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Meet the award winning photographer who has spent over fifty years refining what he calls the art of documentary photography. A photojournalist, teacher, activist, media consultant and entrepreneur, Alexander has amassed an impressive collection of images of Black culture and human rights photographs. He received a 2017 Jus’ Blues Music Foundation Humanitarian Award, for his 50 years of documenting Black music. He is a 2006 inductee into The HistoryMakers, and in 1995 when the city of Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs began its annual “Master Artist” program, Jim Alexander was the first artist chosen “for his contribution to Atlanta and the world.”
