CANTON, GA—Cherokee Family Violence Center is hosting its fourth annual Galloping Against Violence fundraising event Sunday, May 19, at Chukkar Farm Polo Club.
“All proceeds from Galloping Against Violence will go directly toward services to domestic violence survivors and their children,” said CFVC Board Chair Debra Murphy. “The event sold out last year, and we expect an even larger crowd this year!”
Sponsorship opportunities still are available. Packages, ranging from $500 to $5,000, include reserved tables, a variety of signage and announcements, as well as spotlights on social media. Sponsorship forms are found on the CFVC website: www.cfvc.org/events. Just print out the form and follow the directions to complete payment.

Tickets to Galloping Against Violence include an unlimited buffet, plus wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. The festivities overlook the polo field, and a polo match is included in the ticket price, weather permitting. There also will be a silent auction, music, and assorted games and contests.
Galloping Against Violence will be from 1 to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Chukkar Farm Polo Club is at 1140 Liberty Grove Road, Alpharetta.

Individual tickets are $50 each and can be purchased beginning March 1 at www.CFVC.org/events.

About Cherokee Family Violence Center
The Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC) is a registered, non-profit agency in Canton, GA, that has been providing services to victims of domestic violence and their children since 1986. CFVC envisions a world where intimate partner violence is a distant memory and healthy relationships prosper. Our mission is to enhance the safety of those impacted by intimate partner violence through services that empower victims while advocating for a community standard of zero tolerance for violence in the home. Last year, CFVC aided 131 individuals in our 12-bed emergency shelter and took 1,239 calls on our English- and Spanish-speaking hotlines, which we run for the entire state. More than 250 women and children were housed in CFVC’s 72-unit apartment complex—the largest single-location transitional housing program in the country—where victims and their families can reside up to three years while receiving on-site support services. The agency also offers legal advocacy services, weekly support groups, children and teen programs, and multi-cultural services.
