There is little doubt among the pure rock community that the legendary band Queen and lead performer Freddie Mercury earn high ranks as one of the most powerful and iconic groups in rock history. Upon his death in 1991, a huge void was left in the rock concert world, which to this day has not yet been matched.
Queen Nation, a tribute to Queen, was formed in 2004 by David Hewitt / DMHE Music Agency. Queen Nation consists of: Gregory Finsley on vocals & keyboards as Freddie Mercury, Mike McManus on guitar as Brian May, Pete Burke on drums as Roger Taylor, and Parker Combs on bass as John Deacon. The mission of the show is to carry on the musical torch and pay homage to the golden age of vintage Queen concerts. In 2013 Queen Nation was recognized as The World’s Greatest Queen Tribute by Mark Cuban, Ryan Seacrest and their cutting edge network AXS TV. Queen Nation was given a 1hr LIVE national broadcast from the Roxy in Hollywood, to 40 million viewers. A coinciding compilation album was released by AXS TV featuring two tracks recorded by Queen Nation. Most recently, Queen Nation was selected by The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball team to perform on the infield of Angel Stadium as part of their Flashback Weekend.
Queen Nation’s live 100-minute production of Queen’s greatest hits preserves the image, sound, and stage persona of vintage Queen. Audiences are amazed at the accuracy of Queen Nation’s live retrospective journey through such Queen songs as We Will Rock You – We Are The Champions – Bohemian Rhapsody – Crazy Little Thing Called Love – You’re My Best Friend – Another One Bites The Dust – Under Pressure and many more. They have performed in front of thousands of people at casinos, fairs, sports arenas and private affairs.

Superstar Saxophonist Kenny Garrett
Jun 28 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Over the course of a stellar career that has spanned more than 30 years, saxophonist Kenny Garrett has become the preeminent alto saxophonist of his generation. From his first gig with the Duke Ellington Orchestra (led by Mercer Ellington) through his time spent with musicians such as Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers and Miles Davis, Garrett has always brought a vigorous yet melodic, and truly distinctive, alto saxophone sound to each musical situation. As a bandleader for the last two decades, he has also continually grown as a composer. With his latest recording (and second for Mack Avenue Records), Seeds From The Underground, Garrett has given notice that these qualities have not only become more impressive, but have provided him with the platform to expand his horizons and communicate his musical vision clearly. Seeds From The Underground is a powerful return to the straight-ahead, acoustic and propulsive quartet format that showcases Garrett’s extraordinary abilities. Kenny’s lastest album Pushing the World Away was nominated for a 2017 GRAMMY-Award.

Alpharetta’s Music at Twilight featuring Trisha Adams
Jun 28 @ 8:30 pm – 10:30 pm

Trisha Adams is a performer, vocalist, and songwriter. The third generation daughter in a family of musicians, her main influences are Norah Jones, Brandi Carlile, Otis Redding, First Aid Kit, and Darrell Scott. Her shows are both lively and intimate, and whether with a full blues band, her Americana trio, or rocking a solo show, her soulful presence is captivating and sure to leave you wanting more. She has recorded in Nashville and Colorado, and spent the majority of last year in Asia on a writing sabbatical with her husband, Sean. Now she is back, with a whole new catalogue of songs, taking them around the country, to entertain and give voice to the stories we all have and hold dear. She hopes to make her third album soon, and more than anything wants to be connected, with life, with people, through music.

A1A – The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show was born in 1991 when Lead Vocalist and Guitarist, Jeff Pike asked Atlanta Parrot Head Club Founder, Scott Nickerson to join him in his already successful one man tribute to Jimmy Buffett. In 1992, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records and the A1A ball started rolling – a ball that is still rolling 25 years later.
Over the years as the band grew A1A was extremely instrumental in the fundamental building and growth of the International Parrot Head Club community and Trop Rock Music genre as it is today. They were the first band to repeatedly headline the annual Jimmy Buffett “Meeting of The Minds” Parrot Head Convention and many more land mark annual Parrot Head Events. They have released 3 CD’s of original Trop Rock music, played to countless high profile clients around the world and continue to draw record crowds to their public performances. Members from Jimmy Buffett’s band, Greg “Fingers” Taylor, Mac McAnally, Michael Utley, Robert Greenidge, Peter Mayer, Nadirah Shakoor and Tina Gullickson have all performed with the band over the years. In 2012, Jimmy Buffett was instrumental in landing A1A in the Lions Gate Major Motion Picture Release, ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting.’ The band recorded Jimmy’s classic, ‘Why Don’t We Get Drunk,’ which was included in the movie and on the soundtrack released by Capitol Records. Recently in 2016, Jimmy Buffett and Mac McAnally approached A1A with a request that they be Jimmy’s band during a private performance at The Masters Open in Augusta, Georgia.
When attending an A1A performance you can expect to hear all of your Jimmy Buffett favorites. You will also be treated to some classic Reggae as well as some original A1A Trop Rock music. The energy, musicianship, originality and excitement that have always surrounded an A1A performance is an experience and a driving force that has helped the band remain the first and foremost Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show in history!
