AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run @ Piedmont Park

Won’t you join us?

There’s still no cure, so we’re still here! Won’t you lace up your sneakers and join us for our 29th year? We’re excited to announce that our familiar 3.2-mile scenic run/walk through the historic Piedmont Park & Midtown Atlanta neighborhoods has a NEW DATE this year!

Please join us on Sunday, September 29, 2019 for AID Atlanta’s production of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser in the Southeast.

We’re calling ALL Runners, Walkers and Volunteers to join us as ‘Change Agents’ to help us raise over $750,000 of critical funds needed for our 9 participating local HIV/AIDS service organizations. Your support WILL make a difference as we try to move the needle closer to zero infections. Every dollar raised supports people living with HIV/AIDS right here in our Metro Atlanta communities.

Supporting our efforts is easy. You can Register today as an Individual, a Team or as a Volunteer! You can Fundraise as a Walker, Runner or Virtual Participant!

On this day, Piedmont Park will be transformed into a community festival with live music and entertainment, food trucks, beverages, the AIDS Memorial Quilt display, free health information and so much more.

There will also be free and confidential rapid HIV testing available throughout the day. Did you know? “HIV testing is important for both treatment and prevention efforts. Yet, 14% of those infected with HIV are unaware they are infected. New HIV diagnoses are concentrated primarily in large U.S. metropolitan areas, with Miami, Orlando and ATLANTA topping the list of the areas most heavily burdened.” (KFF.org)

October 11 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
To celebrate its 40th year on the road, the 2019-2020 Atlanta Opera debuts a new adaptation of Humperdinck’s enchanting fairytale “Hansel & Gretel,” where students are invited to take center stage alongside Atlanta Opera artists.

Suitable for all ages, this version of the timeless classic teaches very valuable lessons about being polite, making friends, and not judging a witch by her wardrobe.
