Blood Pressure Machines

Have you ever used those blood pressure machines that you see at supermarkets and drug stores? Unfortunately, they are often inaccurate. They are not frequently calibrated which can lead to erroneous readings.

Also, many times the cuff size is too small which can cause abnormal readings for those with larger arms. The machines are also notoriously wrong on those with severe hypertension. Normal blood pressure is 120/80 or lower. Any readings more than 140/90 should be further evaluated by your physician.

Scoop OTP hopes you keep your blood pressure low this holiday season!
