Sometimes the hunt is part of the fun when it comes to Retail Therapy. Consignment shops have become very popular in the past decade, which is why we had to stop and check out Back By Popular Demand.
We visited the Marietta location, but the larger location is in Lawrenceville (which is probably better for our wallets!).
The store’s motto is “From Gap to Gucci, we’ve got you covered.” And they do! The store carries many mainstream brands that you see at your local mall, like Gap, Anne Taylor, Banana Republic and Chicos, to higher end brands like Tori Burch, Kate Spade and Prada. The store is perfectly arranged by color, which makes it so much easier for someone like me who tends to wear the same three colors all of my life.
The sheer volume of the store is impressive. They receive about 450 new pieces each day! There is much more than just clothing, too. They have all sorts of accessories, handbags and shoes. And yes, they do occasionally get in a pair of Louboutins, but they go quick!
Got a teenage girl in the family? Back by Popular Demand recently opened Forever Young, a store geared strictly to the younger crowd and carrying the largest selection of consigned prom dresses in the metro area.
The inventory changes daily, so I highly recommend “liking” them on Facebook, where they will keep you in the know about what they have in stock. Stop in and do some hunting for yourself, either in Marietta (right next to the yummy Ali’s Cookies) or Lilburn. And tell them Scoop sent you.
Back by Popular Demand is located at 1255 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta and 4915 Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn.
