Welcome to the newest Major League Lacrosse team, the Atlanta Blaze!
The team will debut April 2016, during the regular season, and will become the league’s ninth team.
The Blaze will be making it’s home OTP at Kennesaw State University’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Recently OTP also became home to The Georgia Swarm, a lacrosse team playing at The Gwinnett Center Arena.
According to CNN Money, lacrosse has grown in popularity in the U.S., with participation up 10.9% from 2013 to 2014, according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association. Over two million people played lacrosse last year, and more are getting involved even as participation in popular sports like football, basketball and soccer has fallen. Both of our son’s play lacrosse, so Scoop is super excited about all this lax news!

The MLL 2015 Championship Game will play at the 8,300-seat home of Kennesaw State University’s collegiate athletic programs on August 8th at 7pm and Scoop will be there!
KSU will also be starting their football season this year, lots of excitement on campus!
