If you aren’t familiar with the new trend of eating poké, you aren’t alone. Poké is cubed raw fish, seasoned any way you want, and this simple and addictive Hawaiian dish has been around for centuries. It’s basically Hawaii’s favorite food and for good reason: Poké is healthy, delicious and totally unique. Comparable to deconstructed sushi.
Tomorrow’s News Today reports that Poké Bar, the Los Angeles based poké restaurant that opened their first Atlanta area restaurant last year in Sandy Springs, reportedly plans to open two new locations later this spring in Atlanta and Alpharetta. The Alpharetta location will open in The Atwater, a new center on Old Milton Parkway across from Avalon.
Poké Perfect, another poké eatery with U.S. headquarters in Atlanta, plans to open its first domestic location later this spring in Decatur. No word yet if they will expand OTP.
So if you are eager to try Poké, you have to drive ITP for now, but let’s hope those rumors are true and we have some locations in the northern suburbs soon.
