Yes, an alternative for non-coffee drinkers! Tiny Bubbles Tea Bar opens Friday, April 24 in Marietta square, and I can’t wait to try it!
The Tea Bar’s owners are Felicia and Brielle, a mother-daughter duo who also own Vineyard Gift Shoppe — the tea bar is located inside on the first floor. They work with the Scoop Approved tea room upstairs, The Vineyard Cafe.
They’ll specialize in bubble tea, gourmet loose-leaf tea beverages, and cold brewed coffee.
I had never heard of Bubble Tea and was surprised to learn that it is also known as boba milk tea. It is a cold, frothy drink made with a tea base shaken with flavors, sweeteners and/or milk with tapioca pearls (made from cassava root) at the base of the drink. A fat straw is required! Bubble tea is “The Drink” in Asia and even McDonald’s has it on their German and Austrian menus!
