The Bellas area back with the third installment of the series; and many scenes were shot in Georgia and OTP. Originally, this movie was scheduled for release August 3rd, but has been moved to December 22. Now, the release theme will be to get ready to have a Merry Pitchmas!
Not only did the release date change, but there is a different director, and a few details about the plot have finally come out.
First, the female main stars are back: Anna Kendrick (Beca), Hailee Steinfeld (Emily), Brittany Snow (Chloe), Anna Camp 
(Aubrey) and Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy) return. But, the men’s group “The Treblemakers” and star Skylar Astin (Jesse) won’t be returning to this sequel with his friends Adam Devine (Bumper) and Ben Platt (Benji). The cast will include a new bella; Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose makes her Pitch Perfect debut.
In my opinion, one of my favorite roles is Judge Gail played by Elizabeth Banks and she will reprise that role, but passed on her directing reins to Trish Sie from Step It Up, All In. Banks “got really busy,” says Sie with her family and another movie commitment.
The Bellas aren’t at the University anymore. “They’re out in the real world,” says Sie. “They go on a USO tour.” We had several military casting calls in Marietta, so perhaps our OTP city will be featured!
For those of you that have been wanting to know more about Fat Amy, this movie will reveal some backstory of her life.
Many of the songs they sing aren’t on the pop charts yet, but you can be assured after the movie release – they will be hits!
