Ghost Tour

If you love to get your scare on in a more structured and informative fashion than visiting a haunted house, you just might enjoy a local ghost tour. Here are a few OTP and a few others nearby that are too spooky not to mention:

Roswell Ghost Tour: offers a unique combination of ghost tours with paranormal investigators. YEAR-ROUND outdoor, 2 1/2 hour (at least) walking ghost tour!

Ghosts of Marietta: Walking Tours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 8:30 PM all year. Tours every night through October.

Lawrenceville Ghost Tours: New this year, Scary Stroll through the cemetery! Tours every night in October, check website for times.

Fox Theater Ghost ToursFabulous Fox Theater Ghost Tour: Mondays, October 10, 17 and 24. The Fabulous Fox Theatre is excited to announce the return of the extremely popular Ghost Tours this October. The Fabulous Fox Ghost Tours will explore the untold history of the many ghost sightings and unexplained occurrences reported at the Fabulous Fox during its 86-year history.

The Fabulous Fox Ghost Tours will offer an evening of spine-chilling tales from Fox staff members and first-hand accounts from investigations by paranormal researchers. Go behind the scenes of the Fabulous Fox to see what happens after the shows have closed and the stage lights go dim. Ghost tours are 1 hour in length, and are not recommended for young children. Everyone is required to have a ticket for admittance to the tour, regardless of age.While most of the tour is accessible, some tour locations can only be reached by stairway, and may not be accessible to those with mobility difficulties.

In addition to the guided tours, other activities and attractions will be available to guests from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Snacks and specialty cocktails will be sold. Readings from independent psychics and tarot card readers will be available throughout the evening at an additional cost.

The St. Louis Paranormal Research Society will be offering two séances each night; one at 7 p.m. and one at 9 p.m. Those interested will be able to purchase tickets at Fox Guest Services in the main lobby during the evening of the tour for a $20 fee. There will be a limited number of tickets available for each séance.

Tour of Southern GhostsStone Mountain Park; a tour of Southern Ghosts: October 14-16, 20-23, 27-30.”A Tour of Southern Ghosts” is held during the Halloween season so the stories are a little scary, many times humorous, but never too frightening and always appropriate for young children. Each night offers a different cast of six storytellers, which means audience members may return to “A Tour of Southern Ghosts” on additional nights to hear a new collection of stories. Call the number below for each night’s featured storytellers.

Dahlonega Historic Ghost Tour Walking Tour: The 14-location guided tour takes guests on an eerie and intriguing journey full of local tales and legends. Tour guide and founder Jeremy Sharp weaves through streets, back alleys, rows of historic buildings, and the historically significant local cemetery.  He has studied Dahlonega’s history and has also worked with paranormal researchers using thermal cameras and other equipment to document some sightings. The tour is approximately 1.3 miles long, and all on paved, designated walkways, with the exception of Mount Hope Cemetery, ending in front of the Visitors Center, 13 South Park Street.
