French Silver

One of the many fun parts about when we go out and “Scoop” is when we find a great, locally made product that is carried at multiple unique shops. After about the fourth store we found carrying French Silver Tea Towels, we knew we had to reach out to them!

FS2Alexis Nemecek started French Silver (named after her all time favorite paint color) on Etsy mainly with painted furniture and pillows. Her adorable printed tea towels quickly became the most popular item in her store, and she shifted her focus to them.

By 2013, she was so busy with her business that her sister, Jennifer Schindler quit her job to help her make the tea towels.

Now French Silver has over 70 different varieties of tea towels! Some of them are printed with a city or state on them, and others have popular, funny sayings on them like, “Ain’t nobody got time for that,” or, “That’s what she said.”

Priced at $12, they make a perfect gift for a houseguest, wedding, teacher or holiday exchange. Personally, I think it would be fun to collect them from various cities that you have visited, or to give as gifts to my out of town family members to keep as a memento (and of course my amazing family would be sure to return the gesture when I visit them).

French Silver also prints baby onesies and party favor bags, which would be great for wedding favors and baby showers. And they do custom orders!

You can find French Silver tea towels in these OTP stores: Fashion Cupcake in Woodstock, The Vintage Styled Life in Roswell, Mint Juleps Shop in Sugar Hill, and The Local Exchange in Marietta — and of course online. Pick one up for your next hostess gift, and tell them Scoop sent you!
