I drove by a huge building near Spa Sydell in the Town Center area and had to Google the store name, and then Google it again! There is very little information on “and That!”, but after some research I found Christmas Trees And That in Michigan. They confirmed, they are expanding to Kennesaw, GA.
Currently, they have 70 stores in 21 locations under the branding name of both Christmas Tree Shops and Christmas Tree Shops and That! This includes Southeast locations in Augusta, Georgia; Greenville, South Carolina; and Hoover, Alabama. It appears Kennesaw is the first store under the “and That!” store name.
According to our conversation with corporate, they said:
“Now that we’re opening stores in new markets, we want our customers to know we’re much more than a Christmas store. We chose to add “and That!” to our name because shoppers discover they want “”this, and that, and that and that”” as they walk through our stores.”
Founded in 1970 as a holiday gift shop on Cape Cod and acquired by Bed Bath & Beyond in 2003, Christmas Tree Shops is the year-round shopping destination with the funny name, surprising selection and serious bargains. Their huge assortment of unique, exclusive and branded merchandise changes constantly, so you never know what you’ll find. They claim to have great prices and bargains have been known to render our customers speechless.
According to their Facebook page, they have quality products at great prices that go fast. So, if you see it – buy it! Their buyers travel the globe in search of items that will truly delight you — home décor, giftware, housewares, food, paper goods, and seasonal products. Savvy shoppers count on us for great buys on items you use and need every day such as cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, or snacks and treats like crackers and cookies.
Christmas Tree Shops had its beginnings in the 1950s, in a barn in the quaint Cape Cod town of Yarmouthport, Massachusetts. The store was a holiday gift shop called The Christmas Tree Gift Shop and sold Christmas gifts and ornaments from May through October.
Twenty years later, Chuck and Doreen Bilezikian bought the seasonal shop, and with their sons, began to transform the business into a destination for one-of-a-kind items and real bargain prices. They found authentic deals for their customers, and stocked the shelves with closeouts, overruns by well-known manufacturers, and unique products at wholesale prices. Customers were excited and delighted with the treasures — and the prices — and slowly the business became a year-round operation. Even though the store was no longer a Christmas shop, the name remained, and added even more character to the store’s distinctive personality.
